----------------------------------------------------------- Steamboat Springs Jan 13-17, 2019 Once again NAASF will kick off a new ski/snowboard season in "Ski Town USA". We hope you will join us to enjoy "Champagne Powder", Ski/Snowboard Race, visit the Hot Springs, explore a Nordic experience, or whatever excites YOU ! EVERYONE is welcome (Airline Employees, Guests, and Families). This year in addition to the normal NAASF events. We will have a Nordic Camp and Powder Cat Skiing. GETTING TO STEAMBOAT Steamboat has direct air service from TEN Cities: Alaska San Diego Seattle American Chicago Dallas Delta Atlanta Minneapolis United Houston Los Angles Newark San Antonio Denver is a 3 to 3 1/2 Drive. Rental cars and Go Alpine are options from Denver. Go Alpine from Denver OR from Hayden will offer NAASF members a discount, if you ask for a NAASF (North American Airline Ski Federation) discount. Go Alpine requires a reservation so don’t show up thinking you can grab a ride. REGISTRATION It is required for every participant (employee and guest) to pre-register online at www.naasf.com Registration on Sunday evening will be from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Signs in the Gondola Mall will direct you to Registration. Registration is required for each attendee in order to purchase Lift Tickets, receive any of the disoucnts, race, or attend the parties. The Registration Fee is $100/person. There are several "party pass" and "newcomer" options. LIFT TICKETS Single and Two Day Tickets - $71/day ($142/2 Day) Three and Four Day Tickets - $65/day ($194/3 Day and $259/4 Day) Five Day Tickets - $61/day ($302/5 Day) There will be a $5 QuickTrax Lift Ticket (electronic lift card) charge for anyone that doesn't have one. If you have your card from a previous year, bring it and save $5. THEME PARTY - "P Party" The Wednesday night Theme Party will have music, dancing, light munchies, and a killer theme. The theme will be "P Party". Think ANYTHING that starts with the letter "P" (Body Parts, Animals, or Foods, or ???) Think outside the box, be outrageous, be sexy, be fun, be YOU ! NORDIC EXPERIENCE We have had a lot of interest over the last couple of years in Nordic events. We have arranged for a one day Nordic Camp at Haymaker Nordic Center. The "camp" will offer two training sessions where Nordic coaches will work with all levels. This is an opportunity for those that have little to no Nordic experience to learn and those with any Nordic experience to fine tune your skills. The objective it for ALL of the NAASF teams to have a more prominent position in future World Airline Ski Championships. You can participate in one, two, or all three training sessions; and/or you can just practice on your own; and/or you can just show up for the race. The race will a 5k or 10K JUST FOR FUN !! Haymaker offers rental equipment, so all you need to do,is show up. Don has all three Power Cats Reserved for a full day of skiing in Routt National Forest. The Power Cats will outfit you with BIG powder skis. The now in Steamboat is the best it has been in YEARS. If you would like to join Don and 36 other NAASF members, Contact: DON OAKES @ 207-837-2020 RACE TRAINING If there is enough interest, we can arrange Race Training with one of Steamboats 89 Olympians or one of the top rated Race Coaches on Sunday and/or Monday. SNOWSPORTS SCHOOL Registered NAASF participants receive a 20% discount off Regular rates on Ski & Snowboard School products including Kids & Teens programs and Kids Vacation Center. Private lessons will be discounted at 10% off Regular rates. Participants may form groups of five in the private lessons with a race camp format if preferred.
